Near the picturesque village Watergang, just 3 miles outside our capital city Amsterdam, lies our much beloved Sparrowhouse. The apartment is situated within the grasslands of the Waterland district and adjacent to the Broekervaart canal. With a private bathroom and kitchen, The Sparrowhouse provides our guests all the privacy they need. Furthermore, the private yard is ideal for those who want to enjoy a beautiful view over the grasslands and skyline of Amsterdam.
Waterland offers many different things and sites to explore. You can visit Amsterdam with a bus stop just 5 minutes from the Sparrowhouse. The bus will take you there in 10 minutes. Furthermore, there are plenty beautiful walking and cycling routes throughout Waterland. During wintertime you can put on your ice skates and directly hop on the Broekervaart canal via the private yard. Summertime is ideal for those who want to enjoy a canoe ride, or read a book in our sunny yard. The adventurous people among us can even go swimming in the Broekervaart! When visiting, a walk through the grasslands of Broek in Waterland is a real must. Here you can explore lovely restaurants and enjoy the serenity that our district has to offer. The many small villages surrounding Watergang all have a beautiful historic character with nice views to offer and are certainly worth a visit. The Sparrowhouse lies adjacent to the ‘Trekvogelpad LAW2 (also named Pieterpad-Overdwars)’, the longest nature trail the Netherlands has to offer. This trail is ideal for pedestrians and cyclers who want to enjoy our lovely Waterland.
